Domino Printing Sciences launches the Gx series, a new range of high-quality thermal inkjet (TIJ) printers optimised for fast, efficient and crisp coding on product labels, flexible films and cardboard materials.

The printers in the Gx series are versatile and easy to use and fulfil the Requirements of an evolving global market, which is characterised by rapid changes in production plans and fluctuations in consumer demand.

„Now more than ever, manufacturers need to be prepared for last-minute changes in production schedules, including rapid product changeovers, to meet demand. The Gx series has been designed with this agility in mind to help manufacturers, keep pace with the demands of the modern market. Key industries such as the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors are currently with unprecedented demand due to the coronavirus pandemic to fight. Meeting this demand is made particularly difficult by the measures currently required for social distancing and reduced staffing levels in companies. Our endeavour is to support manufacturers in overcoming these challenges.“

„With the Gx series, we have developed a range of printers whose systems are versatile and can be easily adapted to changing production plans. They also offer Solutions for remote monitoring and control, which can be used to reduce the number of employees on a production line,“ says Alexandros Mountis continue.

The next generation of TIJ printers are compatible with all languages. They are suitable for cross-industry use, including pharmaceuticals, electronics and food and beverages, and can be easily customised to the individual production requirements of each sector.

Equipped for future production requirements

The Gx series is designed for Smart Factory applications optimised and offers manufacturing companies a seamless, future-proof solution for the further development of production processes. The printers in the Gx series can be easily integrated into existing manufacturing processes and systems. In addition, the systems offer Improved connectivity and monitoring functions and smaller dimensions.

The optionally available Domino Cloud offers the possibility of remote monitoring, while Options for EtherCAT and PLC communication enable fast data transfer and synchronisation.

„The Gx series utilises industry standards that enable integration into existing automation systems to provide a Industry-standard 4.0-capable coding and labelling solution to be provided. With the option of EtherCAT communication, our TIJ printers communicate directly with programmable logic controllers and thus be better controlled as part of the manufacturing process, resulting in higher productivity and a reduction in coding errors,“ says Alexandros Mountis.

The printers in the Domino Gx series are a ideal choice for printing machine-readable codes with a lot of information, The Dynamark protocol supports a wide range of product labelling options, including data matrix codes, and offers possibilities for improved product labelling and print data customisation within the production processes. Advanced Track & Trace capabilities and item-level serialisation are available via the Dynamark protocol. The Coding complies with pharmaceutical regulations in accordance with GS1 standards, including EU FMD and US DQSA.
