Kornelius Thimm was appointed to the management of the Thimm Group on 1 February 2017. The 39-year-old joins the existing management duo of Mathias Schliep (CEO) and Jens Fokuhl (CFO). As COO (Chief Operating Officer), he will be responsible for the operational business of the Thimm Group, including the areas of production, technology, purchasing and logistics.
Kornelius Thimm holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). In his twelve-year career, he initially managed development projects at the BMW Group in Munich and Detroit. He was then responsible for business development at Conprinta Printing Technology.
Most recently, Kornelius Thimm was Director Customer Support at the Beumer Maschinenfabrik a leading international manufacturer of intralogistics systems. In this role, he managed the organisation and sales of Customer Support in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). For the Beumer Group, he was also responsible for the strategic development of the Customer Support organisation worldwide and its results. Since 2013, Kornelius Thimm has accompanied the Development of the Thimm Group already on the company's advisory board.
