Papierverarbeitungswerke Schümann will be presenting its complete range of closure materials, i.e. its portfolio of tear-resistant and environmentally friendly packaging tapes, at FachPack 2019. The company from Stadtallendorf will be highlighting its thread-reinforced wet adhesive paper tapes for closing and sealing cardboard packaging. These adhesives are said to be particularly popular with e-commerce retailers.
Among other things, the focus will be on the thread-reinforced Wet adhesive rolls of type K2/KF2. These Parcel tapes have a reinforcing fabric made of fine polymer threads incorporated into their water-reactive rubber coating, which is designed to offer an increased level of security and stability thanks to its sophisticated geometry consisting of two opposing S-curves and two parallel straight lines. In particular, they prevent reaching in and through closed packages.
Natural glue sticks within seconds
All thread-reinforced wet adhesive rolls from Schümann are available in various widths and with running lengths of 1,000 metres and more. They are designed for fully automated processing and can be easily integrated into the sealing machines of the Packaging service provider clamping. The adhesive strips are cut to length, the underside of the natural glue coating is moistened with water and they are applied to the cardboard boxes in a precise position in the machines as a continuous series process. The Natural glue of the wet adhesive tape develops its adhesive force within seconds, making it almost impossible to remove the wet adhesive tape without destroying it. Thanks to the wet adhesive tape, the parcel has a seal-like closure that is highly tamper-proof.

Print EAN or matrix codes
As with all of its wet adhesive tapes, Schümann also offers the option of printing the thread-reinforced parcel tapes in one or more colours. In this way, the company's print service transforms every Sealing strip into an information carrier with very different objectives. The classics in online retailing include the printing of safety instructions as well as EAN codes, Matrix codes or other labelling from logistics and Ident technology. Many retail companies also use the Schümann print service to add advertising messages to their cardboard packaging.
