Three years of BST eltromat International

In June 2017, BST eltromat International celebrated the three-year anniversary of the merger of the former companies BST International GmbH and eltromat GmbH. Since then, quality, customers and innovation have been at the centre of the company's strategy.

In June 2017, BST eltromat International celebrated the three-year anniversary of the merger of the former companies BST International GmbH and eltromat GmbH. Since then, quality, customers and innovation have been at the centre of the company's strategy.

„With the merger, BST eltromat has become the global market leader in the areas of quality assurance and automation in web-oriented production processes. Regardless of where in the world our customers are located, we have local contacts for them in each of our complex subject areas, who provide them with comprehensive, long-term support based on their practical experience. Starting with advice and system selection, through installation and commissioning, to all service issues,“ explains Kristian Jünke is responsible for Sales & Service at BST eltromat International.

Thanks to its global presence, BST eltromat is characterised in particular from a geographical perspective by Strong customer focus out. The company has eleven locally operating subsidiaries, six of which have their own production facilities. The most recent subsidiary - BST eltromat South East Asia Co., Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand - was founded one and a half years ago. More than 50 agencies worldwide support the BST eltromat sales team and thus offer customers additional contact options. The installed base is also impressive: More than 10,000 customers in over 100 countries are currently using BST eltromat systems.

Jünke adds further aspects: „We provide customers with comprehensive options to maximise the potential of their production processes. Our services are tailored to the individual requirements of our customers and customised for them - with our employees from the areas of consulting, sales, project planning and service working hand in hand. Comprehensive services are therefore an integral part of our offering - and are now more than ever one of the most important reasons why customers on all continents rely on long-term partnerships with our company. A distinct corporate culture is emerging

„Since the merger, we have been working very hard to develop and promote our strengths and new opportunities. At our international sales meeting in Wiesbaden at the beginning of May with more than 70 employees from all over the world, the beginnings of our own corporate culture and identity became tangible for the first time. As a globally organised team with a specifically strengthened team, we are well on the way to the future thanks to many joint successes and new projects,“ explains Dr Gunter Tautorus, Managing Director for Human Resources and Finance at BST eltromat.

For Dr Carsten Kipp, Managing Director for Technology at BST eltromat, the merger of BST and eltromat was a logical step in view of the demands of the markets on the Innovative strength of companies is a logical step. „With ever shorter innovation cycles and marketing windows for new products, manufacturers today have to be able to make high upfront financial investments and quickly generate large volumes via their international sales organisation during the market launch.“ The challenges associated with Industry 4.0 in particular also require a Strategic co-operation between major customers and system manufacturers on an equal footing.

In retrospect, the combined expertise of two former competitors complemented each other perfectly. Kipp: „It forms an excellent basis for the further development of innovative systems that can be scaled from individual components to comprehensive solutions and fulfil the requirements of tomorrow's markets.“ At the same time, this expertise enables BST eltromat to develop new industry-specific solutions and applications.
