Tomra Food from Leuven (Belgium) will be presenting the latest technology for highly reliable sorting solutions for the production of confectionery - from checking the quality of raw materials to sorting during the packaging process.
Product colour and structure are laser scanners tested. This allows contaminated products or foreign bodies that are not visible to the naked eye to be identified.
With the Nimbus free-fall sorter a whole range of different products can be sorted with a comprehensive selection of programmes and applications on the same platform. European manufacturers in particular produce different confectionery products on a rotating basis and at the same time have to guarantee their customers products that are free from cross-contamination.
Enhanced by the revolutionary BSI+System the Nimbus BSI+ makes it possible to recognise biometric product features.
