The Schumacher Packaging Group presents a new Top-Seal tray that can replace conventional plastic trays. The new packaging is made entirely from solid board and is recyclable. The tray can also be sealed using standard sealing machines. 

The new, octagonal Top-Seal Stackpack tray is suitable for a wide range of applications thanks to its addable, bio-based barrier protection, especially for packaging dry, moist and fatty products. Depending on the contents, specially coated, plastic-free cardboard qualities can be selected for the tray, for example for moisture-intensive products. The coatings are suitable for direct food contact and can be easily recycled with the tray. This makes Stackpack particularly well suited for sensitive products such as soft fruit, mushrooms, tomatoes or herbs and is an ideal replacement for plastic trays in the fruit and vegetable sector.

To close the Stackpack tray, you can Lidding films made from thin plastic, a compostable cellulose net or even paper can be used. The bowl itself is completely plastic-free. The top seal can be easily applied to existing sealing machines and therefore causes no additional costs. The outside of the tray can also be customised with up to six-colour offset printing.

The new Stackpack Top-Seal tray expands the Schumacher Packaging The packaging specialist is already producing MAP protective gas packaging with HALOPACK, which extends the shelf life of perishable foods such as meat and ready meals. Schumacher Packaging has been Stackpack's exclusive licence holder for the DACH region and the Polish market since January.
