Wiferion presents itself at LogiMAT as Puls Wireless. The company will be presenting its contactless energy supply for mobile robots at the trade fair. The applications are already providing customers with benefits in use.
Standardisation is currently one of the most important topics in mobile robotics. In this context Wiferion is now synonymous with the Inductive energy supply for driverless transport systems (AGV) and autonomous mobile robots (AMR). Puls is therefore presenting the Wiferion brand as the new charging standard in mobile robotics for the first time since the takeover.
„The fact that our charging systems are now specified in the specifications of major automotive groups emphasises this positioning. More than 20 OEMs will be charging with our systems at LogiMAT. A major advantage, especially for mixed fleets.“
Julian Seume, former CSO of Wiferion and now Director of the Puls Wireless business unit
Trade visitors to the trade fair can find out how charging technology can help them to optimise their energy consumption. Optimise and standardise transport processes with wireless charging. Until now, users have had to set up a separate charging infrastructure for each manufacturer, as the chargers are not compatible with each other. This not only increases the complexity and susceptibility to errors of the entire system, but also the costs for installation and maintenance. The Wiferion standard eliminates this redundant charging infrastructure.
Puls Wireless will also be showcasing the new compact Wiferion 1kW inductive charging system with an output of 1 kW, which has been specially developed for small goods-to-person robots. The company is thus closing a gap in the market, because in this fastest-growing segment of mobile robotics, the compact design of the small AMRs has meant that there has been a lack of charging solutions. No reliable wireless charging option yet. The new mobile charging unit is 36 per cent smaller than the etaLINK 3000 and the mobile electronics are now integrated directly into the charging pad. A sophisticated Cooling system prevents excessive heat build-up. At the same time, the 1kW system offers all the advantages of the larger models, such as high positioning tolerance, maintenance-free operation and a fast start of energy transfer in 1 second. The new fast charging system is the first Wiferion product to be produced by Puls in its own factories to ensure the highest quality standards. Interested parties can also find out about other Puls power supply products for intralogistics, such as FIEPOS, the decentralised field power supply.
