Trade agreement for plastic-free coatings

The 2M Group has signed a commercial agreement with Transcend Packaging for the supply of Xampla's Morro coating.

The 2M Group has signed a multi-year commercial agreement with Transcend Packaging. The agreement includes the supply of Xampla's plastic-free Morro coating for the UK. The plastic and PFAS-free coating will be manufactured on a large scale at the 2M Group of Companies' Milton Keynes facility and supplied as part of its new Sustainable Packaging Technologies business.

Morro Coating is used for selected Transcend Packaging cartonboard applications and offers a Cost-effective, high-strength grease barrier for use in fast food restaurants (QSR). The new partnership underlines the company's commitment to sustainability and is in line with its initiatives to minimise environmental impact through advanced packaging solutions.
