For more than 20 years, Ansbach-based Transnova Ruf Verpackungs- und Palettiertechnik GmbH has consistently relied on robot technology for the automation of processes in end-of-line packaging and palletising and is one of the leading manufacturers with around 200 integrated robots per year. The current development status of the Robot Flexline concept will be presented at this year's FachPack.
Thanks to their unique manoeuvrability and the use of smart multifunctional tools, they succeed, Highly flexible and at the same time very economical solutions in the smallest of spaces to be realised. The robot technology is not only used for product handling during carton filling, but also for erecting and capping cartons. This saves around 50 per cent space compared to conventional solutions, while at the same time offering significantly greater flexibility.
Robot palletiser concept
The company will also be showing a version of the Robot Palletiser concept as a Cooperative robot solution for operators and robots to work side by side in a confined space. This makes it possible to work sequentially in the shared work area, for example to handle pallets manually or just to pass through the robot work area. Access to the co-operation area is secured by means of an area scanner instead of a fence.

In the event of an approach, the speed is then reduced in stages and safely down to a Category 1 safe stop. When the vehicle is removed, a corresponding reset-free automatic restart takes place. This solution enables Space saving and Increased efficiency through a Shorter pallet changeover time.
