Traditionally held at the end of the year, the international trade fair SPS will be the presentation platform for around 1,150 companies from the automation industry in 15 exhibition halls in Nuremberg from 25 to 27 November 2025. Once again, the focus will be on information about the latest products, solutions and innovations.
SPS Smart Production Solutions sets the pace for the automation industry, bringing together decision-makers, developers and visionaries from all over the world and allowing the public to immerse themselves in the rapidly developing world of automation. The exhibitors present advanced solutions for intelligent production as well as their current product portfolio. The spectrum ranges from international industry giants to numerous start-ups, which will also be present with their own exhibition stands.
Industrial AI in manufacturing
A key topic at this year's trade fair will be the use of artificial intelligence in production technology. It is finding its way into a wide range of industrial products and processes: Be it supporting the engineering of processes, integrated into control devices through a wide range of AI models or as a component of intelligent tools for predictive maintenance, quality control and adaptive production control. These technologies are fundamentally changing automation technology and opening up new potential for efficiency, flexibility and resource conservation. The twice-daily guided tours offered by SmartFactory Kaiserslautern offer a particularly practical approach to this. The expert-led tour takes visitors to innovative companies in the hardware and software sector and sheds light on the technical challenges of today.
Future-oriented supporting programme
According to the results of last year's event, the trade fair attracted a total of 51,291 visitors, 29 per cent of whom were international trade visitors. They will also be able to benefit from the wide range of solutions, specialist presentations and live demonstrations in 2025. The trade fair offers guidance on technological change and provides impetus to drive innovation in your own company. In addition to the extensive exhibition area, SPS 2025 offers a comprehensive and trend-setting supporting programme that appeals to trade visitors, industry experts and young talents alike.
In Halls 1, 3, 3C and 6, a total of four stages invite visitors to discuss, exchange knowledge and find inspiration. In addition, the directly adjacent „Meet the Speaker“ zones offer the opportunity for personal dialogue with the speakers. Here, visitors can ask specific questions, make contacts and expand on the content of the presentations. Three joint stands in Hall 6 bring together expertise and creative impetus: „Automation meets IT“, the „International Start-up Area“ and the „Young Innovators“. The joint stand, sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, offers young, innovative companies from Germany a stage to present their developments to a broad specialist audience.
With the SPS Makeathon and the Young Talents Day, the trade fair places a clear focus on promoting young talent. It is aimed at school pupils, students, trainees and young professionals.
More than just a trade fair
Independent of the trade fair period, the SPS regularly offers knowledge and industry-specific dialogue within the SPS community with suitable additional formats. As part of the SPS Automation Hub, technology enthusiasts meet regularly in digital or physical formats or find out about news and developments from the world of automation via SPS Insights.
