
With its „Ok biobased“ certification, TÜV Austria provides an independent guarantee for the proportion of renewable raw materials in products. Avery Dennison has now achieved certification of at least 20 per cent for the majority of its rubber-based hotmelt adhesives.
The rubber-based hotmelt adhesives from Avery Dennison Labels and Packaging Materials Europe were certified by TÜV Austria certified for their biobased content. The certification guarantees that these adhesives contain at least 20 per cent renewable raw materials. The TÜV Austria offers with the „OK biobased“ certification a Independent guarantee for the proportion of renewable raw materials in products. The products can be certified with one, two, three or four stars depending on their content.
The new certification applies to 98 per cent of the volume of the company's rubber-based hotmelt adhesives. The Most adhesives such as S2045N, S2047N and TS8000 received 2-star certification (guaranteed minimum content of 40 per cent renewable materials), while the S2065N and C2075N adhesives received 1-star certification (minimum content of 20 per cent renewable materials). Please note that the adhesive formulations remain unchanged.
