How the transformation to circular value creation can succeed

Hardly any other topic in relation to plastic packaging is currently being discussed as much as the Building a circular economy, that deserves this name. 

New solutions have long been sought and many positive approaches are already available on the market. 

At the same time, these challenges often have a deep Established structures, processes and technologies one. Change is challenging and therefore best achieved in a larger context and with joint strategies from all participants in a value chain.

Rethinking the circular economy for plastics

An essential prerequisite for this is a rethink in practice: in addition to the many ambitious technical innovations, the focus must be placed on genuinely closing the loops.

This is the conclusion reached by a joint VDI round table, which summarises in a Green Paper how the transformation to circular value creation can succeed. 

We discuss the ideas and proposals with three participants of this round table.
