Uhlmann Pac-Systeme keeps an eye on the entire development and production process right through to the supply chain and presents the latest solutions that help customers achieve their sustainability goals: reliable packaging solutions that enable a switch to recyclable, climate-friendly materials and make the entire packaging process resource-efficient.
The company meets the increased requirements for sustainable packaging with a holistic approach, starting with product design. Based on the active ingredients, target groups and markets of a medicine, product protection, existing packaging systems and output performance the specialists at the Uhlmann Packaging Competence Centre develop the optimum solution in cooperation with packaging manufacturers and the customer on site.
With the BEC 400 blister line, the company demonstrates a solution for solid packaging which also processes mono-material PP blisters with high recyclability and is already running reliably for customers. The BEC 400 links the feeder, blister machine and cartoner to form a high-performance unit less than nine metres in length. It is also designed for large-volume folding cartons and the packaging of several blisters in one unit, The BEC 400 packs all standard solid geometries in two lanes at a speed of up to 400 blisters per minute. It processes batches of 30,000 to 150,000 packs economically and efficiently.
The proportion of parenterals in the pharmaceutical industry is increasing, as liquid medicines will determine the market of the future. Pharmaceutical companies therefore need secondary packaging that protects the product and is also user and environmentally friendly. With the PTC 200 cartoning line, Uhlmann Pac-Systeme already offers an innovative solution for processing more environmentally friendly, future-oriented materials. The PTC 200 packs ampoules, vials, syringes and other devices safely in sustainable, recyclable cardboard trays and folding cartons.
