Uta Holzenkamp has taken over the management of BASF's Coatings division with around 11,000 employees at more than 70 locations with effect from 1 January 2022. Her predecessor Dirk Bremm, who has led the Coatings division since April 2017, has taken over as CEO of the new unit for exhaust gas catalysts and precious metal services.
After studying organic chemistry at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Ohio State University, USA, she completed her doctorate at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 1996. In 1997, Holzenkamp began working at BASF in the pharmaceutical research department. After further positions in Germany and abroad Since April 2018, she has headed the global Fuel and Lubricant Solutions business unit as Senior Vice President, which is part of the Performance Chemicals division of BASF is.
