In order to expand their customer base, allfo and allvac have had their packaging solutions certified as halal and kosher. In this way, the companies give Muslims and Jews the assurance that not only the food but also the packaging complies with dietary regulations.
The halal audit was carried out by Halal Quality Control Germany GmbH and the kosher certification by the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria. So that the foils from allvac and the vacuum bags from allfo are considered halal, they must not contain or have alcohol attached to them. This is because the consumption of alcohol is not permitted according to Islamic dietary regulations.
For example, allvac guarantees that the alcohol used as a cleaning agent on the film production machines evaporates completely and residue-free at a machine temperature of 250 °C. The halal audit was carried out by Halal Quality Control (HQC) Germany GmbH. According to its own information, HQC is an independent, internationally recognised halal certification organisation in Europe and worldwide.
„The halal and kosher certifications give us the opportunity to expand our customer base. They give Muslims and Jews the assurance that not only the food is halal and kosher, but also that the packaging complies with dietary regulations.“
DisplayPeter Hotz, Managing Director of allfo GmbH & Co. KG
For kosher certification no animal substances are used as raw and basic materials for the manufacture of the products be certified. The kosher certification of the companies was carried out by the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria.
