The digital production line from Valloy enables the economical production of roll labels in small quantities. The first line in Germany with the two independently operating machines Bizpress 13 R and Duoblade WX II is to be installed in a few weeks.
Producing roll labels in small quantities can certainly be worthwhile if the printing and processing of the labels equipment is available, the investment size of which is manageable. is. This applies to the digital production line of Valloywhich consists of two independently operating machines. The target group includes newcomers to industrial web printing or established companies that want to serve niche or high-end markets, as well as providers of digital printing on demand.
The printing system is called Bizpress 13 R. Its LED toner system achieves high print quality with a resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi. It has a low-temperature fixation system that makes it possible, can also print on heat-sensitive materials. In general, the choice of materials is very broad: papers of all kinds, metal and plastic foils as well as label composites between 30g/m² and 350 g/m² can be printed. The maximum print image size is 304 x 1200 mm with a web width of 330 mm.
The Bizpress is equipped with air tensioning mandrels and a roll end sensor, has a web edge control and a splicing table. The web tension is controlled automatically. Ionisation and anti-static units and an air cooling system optimise the printing process, while a register sensor enables imprinting in pre-printed materials. Software for variable data printing is available as an option.
Artificial intelligence adjusts cutting heads
The Duoblade WX cutting plotter is used for finishing. It is equipped with artificial intelligencewhich automatically adjusts the cutting heads according to the job parameters when they are scanned with a camera via a barcode. It calculates the optimum number of tools to be used while the job is running.
There are two models. Both process webs up to a maximum width of 350 mm, which can be divided into panels and edge trimmed using a slitter with a maximum of 15 knives. Grid winding and laminating unit are standardThe optional second material rewinder, a rewinder for laminate liners and an integrated cross cutter are available.
However, the two models differ in terms of their cutting plotter equipment. Duoblade WX I has one cutting station with four tools, the new Duoblade WX II has two cutting stations with a total of eight tools and therefore achieves twice the speed. The recommended speed is 18 m/min when punching 10 x 10 mm rectangles. The maximum punching format is 350 x 600 mm. The advantage of plotter technology over lasers is that there are no thermal effects on the material.
First production line for the German market
The first digital production line in Germany with Bizpress 13 R and Duoblade WX II will be installed in a few weeks. As Authorised specialist dealer becomes Graphic Systems V. Schischke Handelsgesellschaft mbH for the products of Valloy for the German market be responsible. These include the smaller Duoblade SX and Duoblade Petit plotters, the latter a desktop device that is the ideal complement to the desktop models among the roll-fed label printers.
For digital sheet-fed printing systems, there is the Duoblade F. It has two cutting heads and takes up to 1000 sheets in formats up to 340 x 570 mm, which are processed fully automatically in either kiss-cut or full-cut mode. Depending on the design of the die-cutting contour, up to 600 sheets per hour in A3+ format are possible. So that every user can produce customised labels on sheets, even in very small quantities and make yourself independent of the limited supply of pre-cut materials.
