The German robotics and automation industry is expecting sector growth of 10 per cent in 2022. According to the VDMA Robotics and Automation Association, the order books are well filled and a positive investment climate can be seen in the key customer industries.
"With our existing forecast for 2021 of plus 11 per cent, we are on the home straight. This means there is a good chance that we will be able to achieve Industry turnover of 14.7 billion euros reach exactly our pre-crisis level of 2019 again. ", says Frank Konrad, Chairman of the VDMA Robotics and Automation Association and CEO of Hahn Automation GmbH in Rheinböllen.

However, he adds: "The prerequisite for this is that the current disruptions in the supply chains do not significantly intensify."
