Vetropack Group is presenting its portfolio of resource-saving glass packaging at drinktec. A new „Total Cost of Ownership“ calculator and the brand launch of Rezon will take centre stage. The industrially produced, thermally reinforced lightweight glass bottle will be available under this name from 2026.
The technology was presented back in 2022 and has proven itself in practice. The bottle is Up to 30 per cent lighter, robust and durable. In Austria, it has been standard at breweries such as Gösser and Rieder since 2024. Several awards, including the WorldStar Award and the Austrian State Prize for Smart Packaging, confirm its performance.
Vetropack is opening a new chapter with Rezon. The name is intended to symbolise progress and sustainable potential. In addition to reusable systems, selected disposable applications are also planned. The aim is to create new opportunities for beverage manufacturers who value lightness and a high-quality glass look.
A recent practical test by VLB Berlin showed the advantages: even after 60 cycles, the reinforced bottles Significantly higher pressure and impact resistance than standard returnable bottles. With an average burst pressure of 29.5 bar, they are almost twice as stable. For manufacturers, this means greater safety, a longer service life and lower overall costs. The lower weight also reduces material usage, transport costs and CO₂ emissions.
Visitors can try out the new TCO calculator for themselves at the trade fair. It makes the Transparent cost-effectiveness of various packaging solutions and provides support with investment decisions. Vetropack experts also advise on customised solutions for the circular economy.
