
Roberto Martinez Porta is the new Vice President Sales of Labels and Packaging Materials at Avery Dennison. He is part of the Materials Group EMENA and replaces Burak Sahbaz, who has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the Reflective Division.
This news follows the recent Group reorganisation, in which several departments were brought together under the umbrella of the new Materials Group. and the promotion of Hassan Rmaille to President of Materials Group Worldwide. This appointment is a sign that Avery Dennison continues to fill key management positions as the company continues its drive for greater sustainability and continuous growth.
Since joining the company in 2011, Roberto has held various roles in the area of procurement with increasing responsibility. Most recently, since September 2020, Roberto has been VP Procurement, Materials Group EMENA and was also Head of Global Indirect Procurement and Procurement Excellence. Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Roberto led global procurement for labelling and packaging materials at Heineken and held procurement, supply chain and finance roles at Citigroup Inc and NCR Corp.
