Vytal launches its own reusable cup for coffee-to-go

The Cologne-based sustainability start-up Vytal has now expanded its range to include reusable cups and has announced its market entry into the coffee-to-go segment.

The Cologne-based sustainability start-up Vytal has now expanded its range to include reusable cups and has announced its market entry into the coffee-to-go segment.

The addition of a coffee-to-go cup to the product range A good month before the ban came into force of food packaging and polystyrene coffee cups on 3 July 2021. The Bundestag has also decided that reusable packaging will be mandatory in the catering sector from 2023.

What makes the Vytal Reusable system is the digital lending of reusable containers. With the start-up's app, guests can borrow reusable containers free of charge and without a deposit. The app also offers functions for pre-ordering food and digital payment.

Vytal offers digital platform

With its integrated digital platform model, the start-up can offer all partners attractive conditions, optimise the utilisation of reusable trays and precisely quantify the waste avoidance achieved. With a Return rate of 99 per cent and an average return time of three days This means less wastage than the German bottle deposit system and is significantly more environmentally friendly than deposit systems or one-way solutions.
