Walther Faltsysteme from Kevelaer is presenting a prototype of a plastic folding box made from renewable materials at LogiMAT. The reusable folding box from the „Greenline“ product line is initially available with external dimensions of 600 x 400 x 320 millimetres and is intended to be suitable for a wide range of applications such as highly automated intralogistics, supplier transport or even shop use.
The prototype of the Plastic folding box is produced from 93 per cent renewable materials, according to Walther folding systems with. The standard size and the latest RFID technology ensure reliable processes. When the box is folded, its volume consumption is reduced by 75 per cent. The product is divided into the already proven Greenline-line. This is characterised by a sustainable development concept. A Greenline product can withstand up to 100 product cycles before it is recycled and then goes through two to three more product life cycles. The Greenline folding boxes is available in the three Standard sizes 600 x 400 x 320 millimetres, 600 x 400 x 220 millimetres and 400 x 300 x 220 millimetres.

Plastic Düsseldorf pallet developed for „ALDI Süd
Just in time for LogiMAT, Walther also announces that an intelligent and durable plastic alternative to the conventional Düsseldorf wooden pallet has been developed for the discounters „ALDI Süd“ and „Hofer“. The „Plastic Düsseldorfer pallet“ (KDP) is easy to repair because the Plastic runners are washable, and offer the possibility to Double-decker transport. The pallet weighs just 6.5 kilograms, but can carry static loads of up to one tonne and dynamic loads of up to 500 kilograms. The Kevelaer-based company emphasises that the pallet in the „Düsseldorf size“ of 800 x 600 millimetres can be completely recycled.
Walther Faltsysteme guarantees the traceability of the goods routes using the „inmould barcode label“ and RFID technology.
