The Xact Easyfold system from Baumer hhs makes it possible to maintain the tightest tolerances in folding carton gluing with multi-point gluers, even with the most demanding materials.
The Easyfold system from Baumer hhs is specially designed to optimise the folding and gluing of corrugated and solid board packaging. Thomas Walther, Corporate Strategy & Innovation at Baumer hhs, emphasises the importance of the technology: „Increasingly rigid materials are being processed in multi-point gluers. There are virtually no limits to the range of variants. This means that accuracy in the folding and gluing process has become an even more demanding challenge. At the same time, fault tolerance is decreasing because the demands of branded goods manufacturers on the quality of their packaging are constantly increasing. With the high-end technology of our Easyfold system, packaging manufacturers can specifically reduce the bending stiffness of the materials they process for their customers in the area of the fold grooves and thus temporarily increase the elasticity here. Maximum process reliability
A central element of the Easyfold system is the SW-600 Easyfold precision valve. This valve is characterised by its reliability and simple integration into existing machine configurations. It prevents the nozzles from clogging and minimises the risk of dripping, which significantly increases process reliability. The system's pressure-controlled supply unit makes it possible to precisely match the application of the folding agent to the machine speeds.
By reducing the restoring forces of the adhesive flaps, adhesive consumption can be optimised, which not only saves costs but also protects the environment. „With our Easyfold system, our customers avoid asymmetrical folds, which can lead to complaints,“ explains Walther. The precise and reliable folding and gluing of the cartons improves efficiency in the packaging and filling processes and strengthens the image of packaging manufacturers as reliable partners.
