Weber opens construction project in Italy

The start of the construction project for the new Weber Food Technology Italia Srl in the Neumarkt industrial estate was heralded with a ground-breaking ceremony at the end of September.

On 27 September 2024, the start of the construction project for the new Weber Food Technology Italia Srl in the industrial park of Neumarkt was heralded with a ground-breaking ceremony. Jörg Schmeiser, Managing Director of Weber Food Technology GmbH, and the future Weber Italia team laid the foundation stone for the new subsidiary together with representatives from the local economy, politics and the construction company.

Mayor Karin Jost and members of the municipal committee expressed their solidarity with the project at the ceremony. Weber Food Technology will in future serve Italian customers directly and take over responsibility from the previous sales partner, Niederwieser AG. The planned building will offer over 1,500 square metres of office space, a showroom for customer demonstrations and a spare parts warehouse in order to optimise customer support on site. „The establishment of our own subsidiary and this construction project will bring us closer to our customers and improve our service offering,“ emphasised Jörg Schmeiser. The long-standing partnership with Niederwieser AG ends with the founding of the subsidiary. All previous Niederwieser employees who worked with Weber will be integrated into the new team. Gerhard Zöschg, Managing Director of Niederwieser AG, expressed his gratitude for the successful co-operation and handed over responsibility to the new Managing Director of Weber Italia, Tobia Cigana. With 7,200 square metres, the site offers sufficient space for Space for future expansions. The construction project marks a further step by Weber to expand its presence and customer service on the Italian market.
