The first „Compact Dynamic“ system from Weland Solutions is set to go into operation at Axelent in Hillerstorp, Sweden, in summer 2019. The first fully automated goods-to-man solution from the Swedish manufacturer had already been ordered by Axelent before its market launch.
„The market is increasingly demanding standardised, fully automated solutions,“ explains Björn Karlsson from Weland Solutions the basic idea behind the automation solution for more efficient and faster deliveries. Weland Solutions relies on fully automated solutions that speak the same language as the robot systems. Just five years ago Standard solutions supplied to customers such as Siemens, Atlas Copco, Rolls Royce and Jaguar/Landrover. The demand for customised Automation solutions is growing, however.
The Goods-to-man solution „Compact Dynamic“ was created after a year of intensive development work. There is a big difference between this product and conventional Storage lifts, Karlsson explains: „The goods-to-man solution means that the product comes to you instead of you having to go to a warehouse lift and pick up the product there. Robotic solutions perform transport tasks much faster and more intelligently than humans.“ Compact Dynamic is more effective, faster and saves space.
Compact Dynamic can be scaled in all dimensions
The Weland Solutions employee lists other product features: „One of the advantages is that we can customise Compact Dynamic in terms of height, width and depth to suit the customer's spatial requirements. The Storage bins are flexible. We also have very high access to all storage locations, which is unique for goods-to-man solutions.“
Weland Solutions has identified the following markets for the system E-commerce provider identified. The market has great potential for growth. On the one hand, the volume of online retail is steadily increasing, while on the other, consumer demands for fast deliveries are growing.
The first Compact Dynamic system is now being Axelent be put into operation. Axelent develops, produces, stores and packs Cable tray and wall elements for safety guards. There are a total of 56 sales branches around the world. The central warehouse is correspondingly large. It has more than 30,000 storage spaces.
