The Wenglor Sensoric Group has developed a new IO-Link system solution for industrial communication, thereby expanding its portfolio in the field of connection and network technology.
Wenglor has expanded its portfolio in the field of connection and network technology with new IO-Link masters, IO-Link hubs and an IO-Link converter. The comprehensive IO-Link system solution on offer provides Customised industrial communication for sensors with IO-Link. This enables direct and interference-free communication between machines and control systems, allowing process data to be monitored and optimised. With IO-Link Fast data transfer, flexible customisation and simple integration into existing networks is guaranteed.
With the IO-Link master as the central connection point, the IO-Link system architecture enables bidirectional communication between sensors, actuators and the control system. IO-Link sensors, digital switching sensors and sensors with an analogue output can be connected via the IO-Link master, whose signals are converted by an analogue converter. Integration takes place independently of the manufacturer or sensor via just one control input. The IO-Link master, which is available in three variants, is also IIoT-ready thanks to the cloud connection and enables location-independent system monitoring.
The IO-Link hubs record digital switching signals and transmit them to the IO-Link master. The portfolio includes two variants, each with eight ports and up to 16 digital inputs and outputs per hub, which impress by reducing the number of control inputs and minimising the amount of cabling required. With the help of the IO-Link converter, it is also possible to analogue input signals are recorded and converted into digital IO-Link signals. This means that sensors with an analogue interface can also be integrated into an IO-Link environment and mixed environments can be created from devices with IO-Link, digital and analogue interfaces.
IO-Link uses unshielded standardised cables. This means that considerably simplifies installation, This minimises cabling effort and significantly reduces susceptibility to errors. The IO-Link hubs can be used to efficiently bundle digital switching signals and further reduce costs.
