Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik wants to grow and expands logistics centre

Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik is investing a double-digit million amount in the expansion of its logistics centre in Wustermark. The investment is intended to increase storage capacity and improve efficiency through better logistical connections.

Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik, a Panther Group company, acquired a neighbouring plot of land with an existing building at the beginning of July 2024. This investment is part of a strategy to significantly increase storage capacity for finished goods and thus secure future growth.

Increased storage capacity and planned high-bay warehouse

Ten years after the construction of the original logistics centre, Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik has a hall area of over 16,000 m², which offers space for around 15,000 pallets. In the future, the integration of a fully automated high-bay warehouse is planned, which will increase capacity to around 30,000 pallets.

This investment will eliminate existing external warehouses and significantly reduce CO2 emissions caused by unnecessary lorry journeys. Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik is thus pursuing the goal of guaranteeing maximum product quality with a controllable production process and at the same time increasing productivity and capacity.

Integration and logistics connection

Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik combines the production of corrugated cardboard, its processing and finishing as well as display production and customisation under one roof. This comprehensive integration, combined with forward-looking logistics, enables the company to offer all production steps efficiently and from a single source.

In addition to state-of-the-art production facilities and buildings, the Wustermark site benefits from excellent logistics connections. This contributes significantly to the competitiveness and future security of Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik.
