WIN Creating Images has developed the new packaging design for Rewe Bio „Café Mujer“, putting women centre stage. The coffee that Rewe now sells in supermarkets comes from land that is cultivated exclusively by women.
Rewe Bio is once again demonstrating its social commitment by adding a coffee to its range that supports the „Café Mujer“ project. Economic and social independence of Peruvian women promotes. The Fairtrade-certified coffee comes from the heart of Peru from cultivation areas that are solely owned by women. The entire green coffee production is organised by women.
A woman also forms the „heart“ of the packaging: the design comes from WIN Creating Images and transfers the content of the project directly into its illustrations. The packaging focusses on a woman in the middle of her farmland - her gaze firmly directed towards the future. The stamped look of the plant and landscape illustrations creates a link to the imprints on the coffee bags and emphasises the natural character of the coffee, which is produced in the heart of Peru. And that on fair termsRewe assures the 120 women of the co-operative that they will purchase their entire annual production - and pay the Fairtrade minimum price.
Café Mujer„ project supports Peruvian women
The cooperative also receives a bonus for community projects. As part of the „Café Mujer“ project“ the autonomous creation of value is strengthened as well as further training and the opportunity to acquire property.
