Consumer needs and legal requirements are constantly changing. At Fachpack in Nuremberg, Henkel Adhesive Technologies will be addressing these challenges and showcasing its adhesive solutions, which are in line with the trade fair's main theme of „Transition in Packaging“.

The PPWR stipulates stricter requirements for the recyclability of packaging and the use of recyclates and requires, among other things, the 100 per cent reuse of certain industrial and commercial packaging. As the sustainability strategy of Handle In line with the corporate philosophy „Pioneers at heart for the good of generations“, the world market leader for adhesives, sealants and functional coatings already offers Solutions that fulfil the planned regulations become.

On the Specialist pack Henkel is putting two products from its extensive portfolio centre stage. One focus topic is the Palletising with hot melt adhesives. Instead of large quantities of plastic film, hotmelts from the Technomelt Supra PS range stabilise stacked goods during transport on pallets. The adhesive is applied to the packaged goods and Prevents goods from tipping over thanks to its anti-slip effect. This ensures safe transport, enables higher stacking - depending on the contents - and reduces the use of stretch film by up to 90 per cent. In addition, intermediate layers can be dispensed with, reducing overall material costs by up to 80 per cent.

This waiver enables the Automation of depalletising and thus an increase in process efficiency. In one customer's application, the costs for a pallet were reduced from 4.55 euros to 2.15 euros thanks to the enormous material savings. With the sustainable palletising solution, Henkel fulfils two important pillars of the PPWR: the avoidance of packaging waste and the recyclability of packaging. Visitors to Fachpack will be able to see the adhesive strength of the palletising solution for themselves using an exhibit.
