Wittmann Battenfeld Germany has opened its expanded and redesigned application technology centre at the Nuremberg site, offering customers and partners even more opportunities to get to know products and technologies in a tangible and practical way. The centre focuses on energy efficiency and the circular economy.
The capacities in the technical centre are available to all customers of the Wittmann Group - for individual presentations, joint development work, technical application advice, material and tool trials and factory acceptance tests. There is space for two large injection moulding production cells in the technical centre, The applications on show will be constantly changing. A servo-hydraulic SmartPower and an all-electric EcoPower injection moulding machine will be the first to produce guest gifts on the opening day.
Both applications show how easily CO2-savings potential can be utilised. Among other things, the High energy efficiency of the machines, digital assistance systems and the processing of recycled materials on this. The advantages of complete solutions from a single source also become clear.
„With complete solutions, we can precisely coordinate all components of the production cell from the outset and thus utilise efficiency and quality potential particularly well. The Wittmann Group offers solutions from its own development and production across the entire production process - from material preparation, injection moulding, temperature control and automation to inline recycling and the integration of digital solutions.“
Andreas Schramm, Managing Director of Wittmann Battenfeld Germany

Other exhibits in the new technology centre present innovations from the following areas Mould temperature control, peripherals, automation, recyclate processing and 4.0 networking. These include Smart Recycling packages, the Expert MouldTemp assistance system, the WX90 servo removal device and the Feedmax Clean conveyor with integrated dust extraction.
K 2025 casts its shadow ahead
The Wittmann Group, headquartered in Austria, has two locations in Germany second location next to Nuremberg is Meinerzhagen. The customer technology centre was expanded and technologically enhanced there two years ago. The Group's entire product range can now be experienced live at both sites, with the technologies on show complementing each other well. One focus in Meinerzhagen, for example, is Cellmould lightweight construction technology, which is available on several machines there.
„We are looking positively to the future and expect K 2025 in particular to provide new impetus,“ says Andreas Schramm. „The guests at our technical centre opening can already had one or two previews of our K innovations from the opening day.“
