Print shops worldwide must remain competitive despite cost pressure, a shortage of skilled labour and sustainability. The cost per printed sheet is the benchmark for the entire printing industry.
Up to 20 per cent more overall productivity compared to today's industry leaders with Peak Performance Technology announces the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG with the new Peak Performance generation of the Speedmaster XL 106. The company provides the key to this with More speed and automationThe new Peak Performance generation of the Speedmaster XL 106 produces at speeds of up to 21,000 sheets per hour and autonomous printing has now also arrived in packaging production. This is thanks to the enhanced push-to-stop concept. This means that complex production parameters can now also be configured fully automatically in packaging and label printing.
The new PowderStar XL (Duo) Reduces powder consumption by up to 15 per cent and powder emissions by up to 45 per cent. Personnel capacities are also relieved by the fact that fewer personnel can efficiently operate the same number of machines in production clusters.
With the new DryStar Combination Eco energy-saving dryer, cantilever insulation, cross-flow heat exchangers and an improved design of the dryer cassettes up to Save 30 per cent of dryer energy. The investment is particularly interesting in markets with high energy prices. In addition, the energy consumption of the entire press per 1,000 sheets decreases regressively at higher production speeds, for example by around 4.5 per cent when the printing speed is increased from 18,000 to 21,000 sheets per hour. Heidelberg provides the lever for more digitisation with the Prinect workflow system, taking automation to the next level of productivity.
