Six winners of the prestigious Alufoil Trophy have been awarded the WorldStar by the World Packaging Organisation for their outstanding packaging performance. The award-winning alufoil products come from Ampac Flexibles, Ardagh and Amcor Flexibles, Constantia Flexibles, Guala Closures and Huhtamaki Flexible Packaging.

Five WorldStars went to Alufoil Trophy winners in the category Food.
Ampac received the award for her Marinade bag. This is an innovative 3-sided sealed bag with a special zip solution. The pack contains 200 ml of sauce, which can be used to marinate fresh meat ready for frying within 30 minutes.
Ardagh was honoured for its unique „All in one Fondü“ packaging concept awarded. The pack is used for the ready-to-eat cheese fondue from the company Emmi and consists of a microwaveable metal bowl with an Easy Peel© aluminium foil lid made of an AluFix® Retort Pro membrane from Amcor and a tea light in a special holder.
Constantia Flexibles received two awards: a WorldStar was awarded for the Aluminium foil tray including lid for the pre-cooked meat product „Ofen-Fleischkäs’ - für den heimischen Herd“. Another WorldStar went to „Sustainer“. The sterilisable aluminium foil tray is characterised by greater sustainability and already meets the future legal requirements for environmentally friendly materials.
Huhtamaki Flexible Packaging was honoured for her Refilly pack honoured. This is a three-dimensional round bag made from an aluminium-based composite of four materials. The bag is produced for the Italian coffee specialist illycafé.

Guala Closures was chosen for its aluminium closure „Sunrise“ in the drinks category. The closure, made from an aluminium sleeve with an integrated plastic insert that prevents refilling, is equipped with an eye-catching tamper-evident band that indicates the integrity of the product. The drip-proof spout guarantees easy pouring.
Performance of aluminium foil
