Zellcheming is organising an online event this year and is postponing the face-to-face trade fair event until next year.
The general conditions for the Zellcheming-Expo 2021, which was planned for 9 and 10 June 2021 at the Rhein-Main Congress-Center Wiesbaden, have been continuously evaluated in recent weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic - and the decision has now been made to postpone the event until next year. The Zellcheming-Expo 2022 will take place from 7 to 9 June.

„This step was very difficult for us, as it is the second cancellation of the Expo after 2020. However, it was also important for us to weigh up the risks and take into account the interests of everyone involved. However, the very positive response from the exhibitors, who had already booked early for this year, and the great interest in participating that was already apparent in the industry, also clearly showed us the great need to finally exchange ideas again.“ Petra Hanke, Managing Director of Zellcheming Service GmbH
„We want to ensure that the interaction that is essential for innovation in our industry does not come to a standstill, especially in these challenging times for everyone,“ emphasises Gerrit Lund, Chairman of the association Cell chemistry. „After all, it is part of our self-image that we see ourselves as a platform for the professional exchange of expertise between all those involved in the development of sustainable paper and cellulose-based products. In addition, we want to offer a wide range of opportunities for members to get involved in our industry and maintain personal contacts. We will therefore fulfil this aim with the Cell Chemistry Virtual Days 2021 redeem!“

„In view of the current restrictions, the Zellcheming association has already gained extensive experience with digital meetings and conferences. Our industry has learnt in a short space of time how to open up new avenues for itself,“ explains Petra Hanke. „We want to pick up on this spirit with the Virtual Days and develop it further.
The eagerly awaited return to the proven and popular location, the Rhein-Main Congress Centre (RMCC) Wiesbaden, will take place, at least in a figurative sense: A live studio will be set up there for speakers and moderators. „We are convinced that with our Zellcheming Virtual Days send an important signal and at the same time build a bridge to Expo 2022,“ emphasises Petra Hanke.
