At Fruit Logistica 2026 in Berlin, Poly-clip System will be showcasing Net-Pak and the matching newly developed Somi net clipper, a certified system that is suitable for products of various sizes and shapes - from fruit and vegetables to pulses and more.

The Net-Pak net packaging solution consists of organic nets, clips and labels and is complemented by the matching clipping machine. All components are industrially compostable, confirmed by various certificates. The Bio-Clips are available in several sizes and colours (white, green, blue) and can be supplied on large or small reels.

Together with the nets and labels, a closed system is created. The high tear resistance of the nets and the stable clip quality ensure precise processing and an even throughput on the machine.

Compact net clipper Somi

When used on the new Somi net clipper, the Net-Pak system achieves exceptional performance. Developed in cooperation with Spanish machine manufacturer Damarc Agrobotic, the machine processes products weighing between 250 and 800 grams and seals up to 25 bags per minute. Thanks to its particularly compact design, the net clipper only requires a small footprint and has an automatic net tube changing system that supports a smooth production flow.

With its new DC N3 600 clip head, the net clipper is being used for the first time as part of an industrially compostable system. As it corresponds to the current standard size, it can be integrated into existing production lines without major conversions.

More sustainability for fruit and vegetable packaging

Net-Pak clip packaging scores points here compared to conventional packaging with film sealing thanks to the comparatively low energy requirements of the machines and a low material content of just 0.5 per cent. Compared to packaging made from plastic film or plastic trays with a top film, net packaging with a clip reduces CO2-emissions by up to 25 per cent.

„Recyclable solutions are a real benefit in the fresh produce sector, where net packaging is used in large quantities. Industrially compostable components offer a sustainable solution here if, like our Net-Pak system, they are controlled and certified and can be recycled in accordance with standards.“
