At this year's Achema, Schubert-Pharma will be presenting a cross-section of its packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. The latest generation of the Flowmodul flow-wrapping unit will be making its debut, and the company will also be presenting its comprehensive portfolio of engineering services.

At the Schubert-Pharma stand, a TLM packaging machine with integrated flow module packs BFS ampoules in tubular bags. A film with high barrier properties (e.g. for protection in climate zone 4) is used. It reliably protects the pharmaceutical products from environmental influences. With the Schubert flow-wrapping unit Different sealing methods can be used. In addition to thermal sealing, ultrasonic sealing is also possible.

Flowmodul in a more open machine layout

The Flowmodul provides manufacturers with a compact, high-performance machine with a high degree of flexibility. The flow-wrapping unit has a fully automatic carrier change with exchangeable cassettes for other formats. The entire forming shoulder is changed when the format is changed. This guarantees 100 per cent safety when changing the films and reliable reproducibility of the tubular bag geometry. The Latest machine variant of the flow module is even easier to access for maintenance and cleaning work thanks to a more open machine layout. Schubert will thus high hygiene requirements in the pharmaceutical industry. This is complemented by easy-to-clean conveyor belts.

Complete process integration

At Achema, Schubert-Pharma will also be providing information about the extensive possibilities for realising processes and functions with TLM technology or by integrating third-party units. Depending on the application, all labelling, quality control or serialisation tasks can be implemented in the packaging machine. To the efficient packagingg of a wide variety of products - be it vials, ampoules, plasters, infusion bags, syringes or devices. The proven image recognition systems from Schubert take over the optical inspection functions and quality control tasks. These include sub-mixing control, checking the presence and completeness of products and shape control. Integrated third-party systems, such as labellers for applying tamper-evident seals or camera systems for verifying serial data, are easily integrated into Schubert's own image recognition system. Track and trace system integrated.
