The Action Forum Glass Packaging has extended the application deadline for „Product Innovation in Glass“. Companies from the filling food and beverage industry now have until 30 June 2026 to submit their new products, packaged in glass, for the renowned industry award.

With the deadline extension, the Glass Packaging Action Forum is giving interested companies additional time to register their innovations in glass for the competition. Sought after are new products from the food and beverage sector that are packaged in glass and were first sold on the German market between 1 May 2025 and 30 April 2026. Multiple submissions are possible per company.

Since 2014, the Aktionsforum Glasverpackung has been honouring innovative new products packaged in glass. The focus is not only on the product itself, but also on packaging design, brand presence, marketing concept, and special market impulses. The deadline extension now offers companies the opportunity to still utilise this platform and submit their products for the award. The submission is completely free of charge and uncomplicated.

Visibility and added value for winners

The competition winners will benefit from extensive media coverage. Their products will be featured in the media of the Aktion Forum Glasverpackung as well as in relevant specialist publications. They will also receive a comprehensive communication package, including high-quality imagery and the official „Product Innovation in Glass 2026“ winner's seal. This seal can be used royalty-free for PR, marketing, and social media activities. A special highlight for the winners is the presentation of a handmade trophy, the glass Möbius strip, at the Trend Day Glass 2026.

Competition Categories

The competition is divided into three categories: Small Businesses (up to 50 employees), Medium and Large Businesses (from 51 employees) and Audience Favourite. While the winners of the business categories will be decided by an independent expert jury, the Audience Favourite will be chosen by visitors to the Trend Day Glass.

Information regarding participation conditions and the online registration form can be found on the Website of the Glass Packaging Action Forum. This initiative by the container glass industry in Germany has been advocating for the benefits of glass packaging and providing comprehensive information about glass as a material since 2000.
