Graco acquires Valco Melton

The completion of the transaction is expected in the third quarter of 2026.

Valco Melton has signed a binding agreement to be acquired by Graco Inc. The US company Graco intends to integrate the supplier of adhesive application and inspection systems into its industrial division. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.

Valco Melton, headquartered in Cincinnati, has been active in the field of adhesive application and quality inspection for 74 years and, according to the company, employs more than 650 people in 87 countries. The company supplies systems for quality control and process optimisation to industrial applications and packaging markets, among others. The acquisition is intended to bring together the complementary technologies and global market presence of both companies.

Focus on industrial and packaging applications

Graco is one of the world's leading suppliers of fluid handling, dispensing and fluid management technologies. With the integration of Valco Melton, the company is particularly strengthening its portfolio in the area of industrial adhesive and inspection solutions for packaging and production processes.

In the announcement, Valco Melton emphasises the shared roots of both companies in different material handling markets. According to the company, the acquisition is intended to support its international growth strategy and further expand existing customer relationships.

Management refers to long-term company development

In the press release, Valco Melton also refers to the long-standing company development under Greg Amend and Rich Santefort, as well as to the foundations laid by company founder Buford Thomas.
