ICE Europe 2015 - new record for the leading trade fair in the converting industry

The 9th edition of ICE Europe has set another record in its success story. With a total of 7,040 trade visitors from 71 countries and 439 exhibitors from 26 countries, this represents an increase of 7% in visitor numbers and 10% in exhibitor numbers compared to the previous event.

The 9th edition of ICE Europe has set another record in its long history of success. With a total of 7,040 trade visitors from 71 countries and 439 exhibitors from 26 countries on a net exhibition area of 11,000 m2 this means an increase of 7% in visitor numbers and 10% in exhibitors and exhibition space compared to the previous event.

From 10-12 March 2015 Converting specialists from all over the world came together at the exhibition centre in Munich to learn about the latest technologies, exchange ideas with experts and look for innovative solutions to improve their production processes.

“The Growth The fact that the leading trade fair for this industry is currently taking place shows that the current economic situation in this sector is extremely promising. Due to its Innovative spirit in areas such as the Refinement, during processing new materials and the further development of energy-saving manufacturing processes, as well as the expansion of international sales networks, are creating numerous business opportunities for the industry,“ reports Nicola Hamann, Managing Director of the organiser Mack Brooks Exhibitions.

The Expansion of international business contacts was a focus of participating companies at ICE Europe 2015, and with 50% of foreign visitors and 44% of foreign exhibitors, this year's event was more international than ever. The most important visitor countries, after Germany, were Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, the UK, Poland, the Netherlands, Turkey and Spain.

Important industries from which the visitors came were the packaging industry, the Mechanical engineering, the paper industry, the Packaging printing, the Chemical industry and the Textile and nonwovens industry. The exhibition categories that visitors were particularly interested in were coating and laminating, slitting and winding technology, inspection, measuring and testing systems, flexographic and gravure printing and materials.

The next ICE Europe takes place from 21-23 March 2017 at the Munich exhibition centre. In 2016 the ICE Asia from 19-21 October 2016, in Shanghai, China. The next ICE USA takes place from 25-27 April 2017 in Orlando, Florida.
