Companies wishing to exhibit at interpack or components 2020 can register from the end of 2017, which is significantly earlier than before. The official Application deadline lies in the Spring 2019. The exact dates will be announced by Messe Düsseldorf at a later date.

According to the trade fair organiser, the last interpack, which was held in May this year with 2,865 exhibitors and 170,500 visitors, was followed by a very positive response from the participating companies. In particular, they praised the quality of the German and international visitors and their conspicuously high willingness to place orders. The concept of „components - special trade fair by interpack“ also met with a very positive response from the participating exhibitors, meaning that the organiser is exploring the possibility of expanding the event in 2020.

Messe Düsseldorf plans to invest a total of 636 million euros from its own funds in the expansion and modernisation of the exhibition grounds by 2030. According to Messe Düsseldorf, one milestone will be the completely redesigned South Entrance with the new Hall 1. From summer 2019, the new building will replace the previous Halls 1 and 2, the basic structure of which dates back to the 1970s. The new Hall 1 has a capacity of 12,025 square metres, which means that a good 550 square metres more hall space will be available for interpack 2020 compared to the old configuration. In addition to Hall 1, the new complex consists of a foyer measuring around 2,100 square metres directly in front of it and a 17-metre-high, tapered canopy made of translucent fibreglass fabric with integrated LED lighting. It contains six conference rooms and is directly connected to the Congress Centre South[/infotext].
