The labelling industry is struggling to find young, qualified talent. This is why the international labelling association „FINAT“ is launching the „#LABELicious“ competition in its 60th year of existence. The aim is to attract creative young talent to the labelling industry.
FINAT is planning a competition with three categories. Participants in the „Brand design“ part of the competition should think about Labels in the year 2025 make. How will customers then communicate outstanding customer experiences, a competitive advantage and the added value of the brand via the label?
The „New ways of thinking“ category is about visions and innovative thinking using Creative design. The young professionals also have the opportunity to submit designs for the „Smart Labels/Intelligent and multifunctional labels“.
Labelexpo Europe becomes „#LABELicious“ partner
The exact rules of the „#LABELicious“ competition are currently still being developed. The project is to be further expanded this year and next. Cooperation with specialised companies, national associations, national and international media as well as educational institutions and universities is planned.
The collaboration with the Labelexpo Europe. The first international „#LABELicious“ winners will be announced at the trade fair in 2019. All award-winning entries will then also be exhibited in their own pavilion.
With the new competition, FINAT is continuing its commitment to young talent in the industry. Ten years ago, the association founded the „Young Managers Club“ (YMC). It now has 80 members and is holding its world conference in the Romanian capital Bucharest from 5 to 7 September 2018.
