The „FachPack“ trade fair in Nuremberg will be launched with a new slogan at its next edition from 25 to 27 September 2018. „Tomorrow is made by making“: the exhibition team led by event director Heike Slotta has reorganised the offerings and added some new features to the programme in line with this guiding principle.
The „FachPack“ sees itself as the leading European trade fair for the Packaging industry. A year before the next trade fair, the organisers pick up on trend topics, provide impetus and encourage discussion. On the three days of the trade fair in autumn, the results of these processes are then presented at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre presented. The concept is working: Heike Slotta expects all twelve exhibition halls to be fully booked by the end of this year. This would mean that over 1,500 exhibiting companies from German-speaking countries and other European countries will find their way to the Franconian metropolis. Around 40,000 visitors are expected.
Not only the slogan is new. The „FachPack“ product catalogue has also been revised. The aim of this measure was to better reflect current technical trends and developments. As of May, interested users will therefore find the following sections in the online exhibitor and product database: „Packaging materials and packaging“, packaging aids, Packaging machines, „Labelling and marking technology“, „Machines and equipment in the packaging periphery“, „Packaging printing and finishing“, „Intra- and packaging logistics“ and „Services for the packaging industry“. Users also have new filter and sorting options for a better overview.
The aim of the new hall layout was to provide greater clarity. The trade fair will be divided into the two large areas of packaging and Technology will be presented. The individual halls will also focus on specific themes.
The now more consistent division into the areas of packaging and technology continues in the presentation forums. After the forum „Packing box“ has been well received over the past few years, it has now been honoured with the „Techbox“ has found a complement. Thematically focussed and forward-looking content is presented in both forums.
The aim of the trade fair organisers is always to provide visitors with concrete solutions for packaging-intensive industries such as Food and drinks, Pharmaceuticals and Medical technology, Cosmetics, Chemistry, Automotive to present. This can be double-walled Folding boxes to protect against glass breakage in the case of liquid medicines, but also Batch codes for seamless traceability. Personalised solutions and active packaging that extend the shelf life of food will be on display. Clever transport solutions will be presented and issues such as how to successfully address consumers and aspects of sustainability will be discussed.
