Bobst recently delivered its 300th „Mastercut“ flatbed die-cutter. The system supplier for packaging and labelling manufacturers has been delivering the system for corrugated board processing since 2006. The „anniversary piece“ was sold to Avance Cartón, a Spanish manufacturer of corrugated cardboard sheets as well as folding boxes and packaging made of corrugated cardboard.

High production speeds, fewer stops and shorter set-up times are the main product advantages of the Mastercut flatbed die cutter, lifts Bobst emerged. Since its market launch, it has undergone continuous further development. It is available in two working widths of 1.7 and 2.1 metres. The larger working width enables higher productivity because more blanks can be processed per sheet.

According to Bobst, one of several unique functions is the Power register system. It precisely aligns each individual sheet before die-cutting and thus ensures a perfect print-punch register. Manufacturer of Folding boxes made from corrugated cardboard use this function, as do processors of laminated corrugated board.

Anello Meloro, Product Sales Director at Bobst, sees these and other product advantages as decisive for the Mastercut's good market position: „If you consider the rapid pace at which technology is changing today, the fact that the Mastercut is still an industry-leading die cutter even after twelve years says it all.“
