SPS/IPC/Drives 2017: everything for electrical automation in 16 halls

The „SPS IPC Drives“ trade fair will be even bigger this year. The industry get-together for systems and components for electrical automation will also occupy Hall 10.1 in future, bringing the total number of halls used to 16. SPS IPC Drives will open its doors at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from 28 to 30 November 2017.

The „SPS IPC Drives“ trade fair will be even bigger this year. The industry get-together for systems and components for electrical automation will also occupy Hall 10.1 in future, bringing the total number of halls used to 16. SPS IPC Drives will open its doors at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from 28 to 30 November 2017.

The trade fair organiser Mesago would like to promote the „SPS IPC Drives“ in Nuremberg on the topic „Industry 4.0“ towards the future. For this reason, the thematic Revised organisation of the halls and another hall occupied. In the Halls 10, 10.0 and 10.1 exhibitors are now presenting themselves in the areas of „Control Technology“, „Interface Technology“, „Mechanical Infrastructure“ and „Industrial Communication“.

In Hall 6 This time, visitors will find more concentrated offers than before from the areas of „Control technology“ and „Software and IT in production“. The „Mechanical Infrastructure“ area has been removed from Hall 6 and can now be found in Hall 10.1 and Hall 2. In Hall 2 the subject area „Industrial communication“, which has also been given additional capacity in Hall 10.1.

„Industry 4.0“ will once again be a recurring theme in the lectures and presentations in the forums in the Hall 3, 3A and 6 draw. Interested visitors will find the VDMA Forum in Hall 3. The German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers„ Association (ZVEI) has taken over the organisation of the forum in Hall 3A. Various companies will again be presenting themselves in Hall 6 at the joint stand “Automation meets IT„, where a programme of presentations will also be offered. Another joint stand in Hall 10 is dedicated to the topic of "Wireless Automation“ in the Production and process automation.

The enlarged exhibition area has created the conditions for increasing exhibitor numbers. Last year, 1,605 companies exhibited at „SPS IPC Drives“. At the beginning of September this year, the provisional list of exhibitors comprised 1,530 entries. 63,291 visitors found their way to Nuremberg last year. 76 per cent of them came from Germany, mainly from regions in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. 2.9 per cent of the trade fair visitors were directly assigned to the „Packaging technology“ assigned.
