The intelligent and communicative solutions are used to network workstations, which then coordinate their processes and functions independently. The sensors offer new functionalities to send data directly to other units in the production system. According to the company, the solutions that Sick is presenting at the Nuremberg trade fair are designed to optimise the Digitisation and Networking of production and Logistics systems which are to optimise and control themselves from now on.

Another focus of Sick's trade fair appearance will be the presentation of ready-to-install Security packages . The company bundles complete, application-specific safety systems from safety hardware, complete documentation and all information relevant for certification as well as safety services specially tailored to the manufacturing industry.
