Bluhm: Inkjet printers and labellers are fit for dusty environments

Bluhm Systeme will be exhibiting inkjet printing solutions and label dispensers for particularly dusty environments at Powtech 2019 in Nuremberg from 9 to 11 April 2019. Information will also be provided about software for controlling packaging lines.

For dusty environments in which powders, granules and bulk materials are produced, processed and handled, it is essential, in the opinion of Bluhm Systems the printing system Markoprint Integra One particularly suitable. The compact thermal Inkjet printer with HP cartridge technology is designed in protection class IP65. Thanks to its small dimensions of 188 x 80 x 98 millimetres, it can be easily installed in or on production systems.

The printing system achieves peak printing speeds of 180 metres per minute. Logos, variable texts, barcodes and data matrix codes can be up to 12.5 millimetres high. Operators can make changes to the variable fields or settings directly on the Operating display to perform. The ink does not need to be changed manually. The ink type is determined by the SmartCard cartridge monitoring is automatically recognised, whereupon all values are set correctly.

Dispenser labels bubble-free on big bags and sacks

As Label dispenser for dusty environments, Bluhm Systeme will be presenting the model Alpha HSM present. This also has the Protection class IP65. The compact, easily adaptable labeller is classified by Bluhm as a high-speed device due to its speed of up to 33 labels per second.

The labels are produced in the so-called Wipe-on process is applied. The passing product picks up the label from the labeller's dispensing tongue. A roller or brush directly behind the dispensing tongue also presses the label onto the product surface. In this way, the flexible and movable surfaces of sacks or big bags can be labelled without bubbles.

For the Control of packaging lines the Rheinbreitbach-based company offers its software „Bluhmware“. In addition to marking, it also controls the packaging, labelling and palletising of the products.
