Together with TNT, FedEx Express has launched a recyclable packaging solution for the reliable transport of healthcare products on the international market. Launched in Europe in 2016, „Medpak VI°C“ is a network solution that enables companies conducting clinical trials to ship investigational drugs in temperature-controlled packaging.

After „Medpak VI°C“ in Europe, the two international logistics service providers are now launching the product initially in the Asia-Pacific region and North America and later in other international regions. In addition, customers from the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors are now also to be reached.

Important and exciting step for FedEx and TNT

„The international launch of Medpak VI°C for many healthcare sectors is an important and exciting step - both for the FedEx Express and TNT Healthcare product portfolio and for the integration of the two companies. More than anything, our customers need reliable technology, high-precision delivery performance and solutions for time-critical shipping.“
Roland Schütze, Healthcare Lead at FedEx Express and TNT.

„Medpak VI°C“ was originally a TNT service. The packaging solution for temperature-controlled network transport as part of a cold chain has also been available to European FedEx customers since last year. The takeover of the service took place as part of the integration of TNT in FedEx.
