Milliken increases investment in Asia with new production facility in Singapore

Milliken & Company, today announced plans to build a state-of-the-art speciality chemicals manufacturing facility and knowledge centre in Asia.

Milliken & Company, today announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art speciality chemicals manufacturing facility and knowledge centre in Asia.

The plant is expected to commence operations in first quarter 20121 and to strengthen Milliken's presence as a chemical manufacturer for the Support for rising demand throughout Asia, including rapidly growing markets in India and China. The company already has an application technology centre and a service and sales office in Singapore and recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in the region.

The new plant will have the capacity to manufacture of several essential plastic additives from Milliken, which are of great benefit to the global plastics Sustainability and production benefits offer. The site will primarily serve the family of Hyperform® Nucleating agent of the company for polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) as well as Special dyes for a wide range of product applications, including household, laundry and personal care products, industrial and heavy-duty cleaners and polyurethane foams.
