Thimm developed sustainable shipping packaging with fixing padding for toy cars and was thus named the winner of the international Obal roku competition in the „E-Commerce“ category. The packaging contains an ingenious corrugated cardboard cushion that holds 49 individual parts securely in place.
The Award-winning corrugated cardboard packaging solution is used in e-commerce and contains a self-assembly kit for a sliding car from the manufacturer RePello. In addition to the wooden body components, the packaging also contains a steering wheel, front spoiler, Allen key, screws, wheels and tuning accessories.
In addition to the 43 main and connecting elements, there are also six optional components that can be freely selected and still be placed securely. The corrugated cardboard padding ensures that each part is optimally secured and protected during shipping. The design of the packaging solution for all series types of the slide car applicable.
The solution is also used as sales packaging in retail outlets and at exhibitions. The packaging and padding are produced in brown EE corrugated and can therefore be easily recognised by the consumer. disposed of without problems be used. The Sustainable company orientation of the Czech manufacturer RePello, which has been producing innovative wooden toys since 2015, is also reflected in the print image. The design of the RePello toy cars supports the healthy physical development of children and promote correct posture from an early age. The ergonomic toy cars with the name „Formule“ are currently available in three different versions in the RePello online shop.
In the Obal roku packaging competition, the jury annually honours innovative packaging and displays with the title „Packaging of the Year“. Thimm emerged as the winner in the „E-Commerce“ category with its packaging solution for RePello. The award ceremony will take place on 24 October 2019 in Prague, Czech Republic.
