ALPLA Group, a global specialist in plastic packaging, is combining expertise and services for customers in the pharmaceutical industry under ALPLApharma. At the official presentation of the new brand at CPhI from 5 to 7 November 2019 in Frankfurt am Main, ALPLApharma will be presenting CRC justONE, a particularly lightweight, child-resistant closure.
ALPLA has significantly strengthened its presence in these regions in recent years through acquisitions in South-East Europe and Africa. With the new locations, the Family-run company with headquarters in Austria We have also acquired decades of experience in the packaging market for pharmaceutical products.
This expertise and all services for customers in the pharmaceutical industry are now bundled under ALPLApharma. ALPLApharma is a brand under the umbrella of the ALPLA Group and not a legal entity. The first major appearance will take place at the CPhI trade fair from 5 to 7 November 2019 in Frankfurt am Main on Stand #111A10 in the Innopack hall.

They will consolidate all previous activities for pharmaceutical customers under this brand. In doing so, they are bringing together the specific expertise of the new locations with all our services, competences and globally applicable standards. For customers, this means a larger product selection and more service at an international level, says Knes.

The current product portfolio ranges from bottles for liquids and solids and containers for tablets and coated tablets to closures and dosing systems (in particular eye droppers and nasal sprays) through to Accessories for administering medicines with and without measuring aids. In future, however, ALPLA also wants to score points in this market segment with customised developments.
CRC justONE: a new generation of child-resistant fasteners
With CRC justONE, ALPLApharma will be presenting a particularly ltight, childproof closure before. Usually, childproof fasteners with a guarantee band that can only be opened by pressing and turning at the same time consist of three parts. These are manufactured in three separate production steps and then assembled. ALPLApharma has made this production process much more efficient: All parts are manufactured in just one injection moulding process and completed directly. The new closure is certified in accordance with 16 CFR § 1700.20 and ISO 8317 for child-resistant packaging. certified from 30 millilitres to 1.5 litres.
The improved manufacturing process Reduces material consumption by 25 per cent. This saving enables an excellent price-performance ratio and conserves resources. For the consumer, however, neither handling nor product safety is affected.
