The Schumacher Packaging Group continues to grow: The company acquired packaging manufacturer Jaffabox Ltd, based in Birmingham, England, on 5 November 2019.

Jaffabox is at the cutting edge of technology and offers diverse packaging solutions from our own corrugated cardboard production - from shipping cartons and shelf-ready packaging to customised design services for individual customer requirements.

With the acquisition of Jaffabox, Schumacher Packaging is expanding its European market presence further expanded. This will result in new opportunities, particularly for international customers of the packaging specialist based in Ebersdorf. Logistical advantages. Quite a few of them have sites in the United Kingdom themselves. Schumacher Packaging therefore offers them a reliable local point of contact - especially in times of Brexit.

"Jaffabox offers immense potential, which we will optimally utilise together as a group of companies - to the benefit of both our customers."

On the way to becoming a European full-service provider

For Schumacher Packaging, the addition of Jaffabox to the group of companies is a further step in its Strategy of international growth.

"More and more companies are now operating internationally and have sites throughout Europe, and of course they prefer to work with a few suppliers for the entire catchment area - preferably on one standardised quality and price level - instead of having to select separate providers for each country."
Jochen DröselSales Manager of the Schumacher Packaging Group

The Schumacher Packaging Group wants to fulfil precisely these requirements. Björn Schumacher comments: "Our primary goal is not to gain market share through expansion. Rather, we want to make an additional offer to existing customers and expand our Promise as a full-service provider in the best possible way."

Packaging specialists on the same wavelength

The fact that the takeover of Jaffabox is a logical step for both partners from a strategic point of view is also demonstrated by the similarities between the companies: They are both owner-managed, can both look back on a history of over 70 years of company history and are each managed by a successful team of two brothers.

"We are delighted that we are now part of the Schumacher Packaging family. This ensures that we can continue to provide our customers with the usual service and high product quality. In addition, we are able to offer them the extended product portfolio and European presence of Schumacher Packaging. This results in Advantages and strengths for all involved!"

Sustainability awareness times two

There are even more parallels: Both Jaffabox and Schumacher Packaging have a special Future orientation based on the principle of Sustainability based. As manufacturers of corrugated and solid board packaging, both companies process renewable raw materials from nature - with a correspondingly favourable CO2 balance - and manufacture products that are fully recyclable.

Jaffabox had already focussed on the recycling of packaging at the end of the seventies and has an extensive range of packaging materials. Modern recycling system. At Schumacher Packaging, too, resource conservation, environmental protection and sustainability are not only a top priority, but are also practised - for example through state-of-the-art technologies in the areas of production and logistics.
