CGS ORIS is adding another speciality film to its media portfolio for solvent printers. A special feature of the material becomes apparent at first glance: the pouch film has both a white (printable) and a metallised side.

This gives it the look and feel of a typical aluminium composite foil, as it is often used for food, e.g. snack bars or similar. The perfect basis for producing mock-ups for this area that are indistinguishable from the original.

„With the market launch of the fourth heat-sealable film, we have responded to the great demand from our users. Lightweight pouches, stand-up pouches, etc. made from composite films are increasingly replacing the classic forms of packaging on the market. Of course, this is also reflected in the increased demand for corresponding mock-ups,“ comments Heiner Müller, Sales Director Packaging at CGS ORIS.

The white-laminated side of the substrate offers many advantages: fewer passes are required and ink application is significantly reduced as white no longer needs to be printed. This means, for example, that a Snack bars or nut packaging easy to convert.

This is because the printable white coating side has a High opacity and completely covers the film on the inside. This naturally also shortens the drying times that would otherwise be necessary and makes the entire production process much faster and more efficient.

The new material should therefore make it even easier to high demand for mock-ups and their increasingly complex designs and to meet the increased Fulfil packaging sample requirements perfectly and cost-effectively.
